The book is good for finding about some events that happened in Tina's life. In my opinion it does not have the flow of autobiography as the other autobiography's that I have read, it looks like some parts are skipped or not said.It made me laugh few times, but not as much at was presented in the 20 review in the beginning. I liked the most the last parts of the book where she explains how she become Sarah Palin on SNL.If you are fan of Tina Fey and you follow her carrier this is book for you, otherwise it's an average autobiography from comedian.
Ich habe das Buch in meinem Urlaub an 1,5 Tagen durchgelesen. Sehr schöne Essays und lustig geschrieben. Ich bin ein großer Fan von Tina Fey (& Amy Poehler - ihr Buch ist auch zu empfehlen!) - jedoch fand ich das ständige "Name Dropping" schwierig, Personen die wir in Deutschland einfach nicht kennen (bspw. Rudi Carrell kennt in den Staaten auch niemand). Mir ist bewusst, dass ich ein englischsprachiges Buch gelesen habe, habe jedoch auch von anderen, US-Freunden gehört, die meiner Generation der 90er angehören, dass sie einige Personen die Tina Fey beschreibt (Comedians aus den 70ern) nicht kennen. Daher sind manche Stellen vielleicht nicht so lustig wie sie sein könnten. Aber ansonsten sehr empfehlenswert!
Das Buch an sich ist super, die Papierqualität hingegen schlecht: sehr dunkles, graues Papier, was das Lesen immens erschwert. Bei wenig Licht kaum lesbar. Ich würde vom Kauf des Taschenbuchs abraten, aber die gebundene Ausgabe empfehlen, da das Buch super schön und lustig geschrieben it.
I love Tina Fey. She's funny and witty, yet humble and not afraid to be the target of her own jokes. There were so many things she said in her book I wanted to print on a poster and hang in my living-room. Also, how cool is 40? With women like Tina and Amy Poehler, I can't wait to turn 40.Really funny, really kind, really smart book that's never trying to be something it's not.
I love her but i did not think that i will like the book so much. I loved laughing in the ubahn so much that the people were looking at me as if i am a weirdo (and this in ubahn in Berlin) :) !
Irgendwann wollte ich nicht mehr weiterlesen, weil ich nicht wollte, dass das Buch endet. Klingt vielleicht blöd, aber ich fands einfach so toll. Ich mag Tina Fey und ihre Comedy so wahnsinnig gerne. Wem es genauso geht wird das Buch sicher lieben.
I had listened to the audio version of the book at least 5 times and I thought it was about time to buy the book.It was a true delight - from her somehow scary and filled-with-gay childhood to her several EMMYs and Golden Globes. This is a book to be read and enjoyed. I can hardly wait for her to write another one.For every age, for every gender, I can only recommend it.
I don't have TV by choice, but I really enjoyed reading Tina Fey. Her humour is infectious, thoughtful and thought provoking.
